Instructions:

-Prepare Buttermilk: Mix 240ml milk with 1 tbsp white vinegar. Let it sit for 10 minutes.

  • 400g frosting (store-bought or homemade)

  • Whisk well until smooth and fluffy. Can use condenesed milk (no whisking required).

Steps to melt chocolate using a double boiler:

  1. Set up:

    • Take a pan and fill it with about 2 inches of water.

    • Place the pan on low-medium flame and let the water heat up (do not boil).

  2. Prepare the chocolate bowl:

    • Use a heatproof glass or stainless steel bowl that fits on top of the pan without touching the water.

    • Add white chocolate in one bowl and dark chocolate in another (melting separately).

  3. Melt the chocolate gently:

    • Place the bowl over the pan and stir the chocolate continuously with a spatula.

    • The steam from the hot water will slowly melt the chocolate.

  4. Ready to use:

    • Once melted, remove the bowl carefully using a cloth or oven mitts.

    • Stir well to ensure smooth consistency.

    • Use it after it cools down littel but still in pouring consistency for coating.

Final step:

  1. Prepare the cake dough:

    • In a mixing bowl, combine the cake (crumbled) and frosting.

    • Mix well until it forms a soft dough-like consistency.

  2. Shape:

    • Take small portions of the dough and roll them into smooth balls.

    • Alternatively, shape them into hearts, squares, or any creative shape.

    • Place them on a lined tray and refrigerate for 30 minutes to set for better results.

  3. Insert Sticks: (optional)

    • Dip the tip of a lollipop stick into melted chocolate and insert it into each cake ball.

    • This helps the stick stay in place.

  4. Coat with Chocolate:

    • Dip each cake pop into melted white or dark chocolate, coating it evenly.

    • Gently tap off excess chocolate.

  5. Decorate:

    • While the coating is still wet, add sprinkles, crushed nuts, or edible glitter for a festive look.

  6. Set & Enjoy:

    • Place the coated cake pops upright on a styrofoam board or parchment paper.

    • Let them set at room temperature or refrigerate for 15-20 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
